Troop Scribe


Job Description: The scribe keeps the troop records. They record the activities of the patrol leaders’ council and keeps a record of dues, advancement and Scout attendance at troop meetings.

Reports to: the assistant senior patrol leader.


  1. Attends and keeps a log of patrol leader’s council meetings.
  2. Records individual Scout attendance.
  3. Logs trip reports based on Thorns and Roses to be presented to the PLC.
  4. Types monthly meeting plans after the PLC meeting.
  5. Sets a good example.
  6. Enthusiastically wears the Scout uniform correctly.
  7. Lives by the Scout Oath and Law.
  8. Shows Scout spirit.


  1. Recommended by the SPL and approved by the Scoutmaster
  2. Serves for 6 months
  3. Must be active in the troop
  4. Any Scout can serve in this position.
